### Comment from Yumeno Kishimoto
When I can't organize my thoughts, I sometimes go for a walk during what would normally be sleeping hours, aimlessly wandering within a range that feels safe to return from, without knowing the problems or solutions. During such times, I think about how I used to be more confident and act without overthinking when I was a child. But I am still an extension of myself from those days. So maybe it's okay. The lyrics of this song, and every single sound of the instruments, seem to make me feel like they're encouraging me to look forward. I want you to listen to "Midnight's Key" with each of your sincere hearts!
### Comment from Idiot Pop (Composer & Arranger)
I composed and arranged the music. Somehow, keys are fascinating, aren't they? They give you a feeling that you might meet your old self, though you can't really do it, similar to the despair when you lose your bike key. Where is your key? Through this music, I want everyone to feel a sense of nostalgia. That's the sentiment with which I produced it. I was amazed by Kishimoto's vocal abilities during recording, and the natural charm of Kishimoto live really makes you want to cheer her on. Next time, please let me create a more experimental, soulful track!!! I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the musicians who supported us. Guitarist Simmerdown a.k.a. Love Unlimited Shimadan, drummer Akimi Yazoe (birds melt sky), horn section NAPPI (Hainuwell), Ayaka Sekiguchi, backup singer Naoko Matsumoto, and recording engineer Miyajima Jun, thank you all. Always grateful.
### Comment from hajimepop (Composer)
Knowing from past interviews that Kishimoto liked old Soul, Funk, Beach Boys, and Bee Gees, Idiot Pop and I started creating a song incorporating elements of those genres. Thus, the city pop-like "Midnight's Key" was born. The feel of the song was there when NAPPI's brass arrangement was added, but Kishimoto's recording session brought an unexpected magic, making vocal direction quite enjoyable. Yumeno Kishimoto, with a voice gentle yet brimming with soul, reminiscent of Diana Ross or LeAnn Rimes. I would be delighted if you could feel her cool charm through this song.
### Comment from MEMIcream (Lyricist)
I believe that loneliness is not when you are alone, but when you are aware of others. It's about cohabiting your weakness with the strength to acknowledge it, and creating yet another path from there. From those childhood days to stepping into a new future today. Even if I was lost in the past, once I've made a choice, I want to celebrate the future that seems to continue from here as if this was the only path all along. That's the feeling with which I wrote this.
