After the fall in Eden's perfect garden,
God gave a promise to humankind-
One who would come to save us from our sin,
The promised Savior who would be born.

Verse 2
God showed the stars to Abraham at night,
And blessed him with His covenant of grace-
"Through your offspring shall all nations be blessed,"
The Holy One whom God would send.

Verse 3
The One foretold as Immanuel has come-
Just as His name says, "God is with us."
He dwells with us and walks among His people,
Our Lord who came to be with man.
