  "Utsurobune" is a musical unit that reconstructs the depths of Japanese folklore through modern acoustics. We translate ancient legends and folkloric motifs into a contemporary musical language, weaving new stories for the present day. By intersecting indigenous emotions with sophisticated modern sounds, we pursue a unique form of "Folklore Pop" found nowhere else. Our name, "Utsurobune," originates from an Edo-period myth of a mysterious hollow ship that washed ashore. We have adopted this as the symbol of our musical identity: representing the awe toward the unknown that arrives from across boundaries, and the essence that remains unchanged even while drifting through time. Serving at times as a melody that evokes nostalgia and at others as a doorway to the unknown, the soundscape of "Utsurobune" invites listeners to "another Japan" hidden just beneath the surface of everyday life.
