Snow-covered mountain

No Fun

    No Fun

This is the second album by the music group No Fun, which as of 2023 consists of 10 members. The album features a robust rhythmic approach with percussion, which has increased to two members, and fluid melodies with violins and flutes as the main instruments. Compared to the previous album, this album has reached a new level of beauty in sound construction. The production process was carried out with the "atmosphere" that can only be achieved by a live human performance at the forefront. The members' various sensitivities and values are mixed together in a bizarre way, and vocalist Shu Uchida's consistent view of music has succeeded in combining them into a single form, nostos report.

Artist Profile

  • No Fun

No Fun was formed in 2020, centered on vocalist/guitarist Shu Uchida, just as its predecessor band Piano Girl went on hiatus. Together with then-guitarist NJ and original bassist Takuya Nagatomo, the three-piece became the earliest incarnation of No Fun. Guided by the band's concepts of "diversity" and "physical music," members joined one after another, and No Fun is now an eleven-piece: guitar, bass, drums, two percussionists, violin, flute, trumpet, saxophone, trombone, and piano. Their orchestral punk - the roots of every member fused into one and played out on a spectacular scale - carries a presence all its own. Since its earliest days, the band has continued to run "Fujisō," its own event rooted in the local Kyoto scene. It also works across a broad and flexible range of formats, from acoustic sets to club-event appearances and duo performances.
