The song was co-written with rimtide, a jazz duo based in Fukuoka.
Here are the words of Aya (rimtide), who wrote the lyrics and sang.



I felt this was something I could face as my own,
since I live with plants myself.

No two plants ever look the same.
Sometimes you search and search and still cannot find the one;
other times one strikes you, the way falling in love does.

Sometimes they don't grow the way you hoped and it gets you down,
or you let one dry out without meaning to.
And then, just when you think it's over, a new shoot appears.
You notice a small change, and it makes you happy.

Days with plants, built up slowly like that,
found their way into these lyrics.

As for the singing: when I first heard the track,
the bass and the guitar stayed with me.
I wanted to lay the vocal over that comfortable groove,
softly, as if resting on it.

So I kept it as simple as I could,
singing as if speaking quietly to a plant."
