Anticipating the arrival of the light,
The theme of this album is "Sadness eventually leads us to a world in perfect harmony."
Before starting this project, I had a vague and negative perception of the word "sadness." However, I have begun to reflect, and I acknowledge the reality that we are alive, and that from the day we were born, we have shared the destiny to one day pass away. Under these circumstances, it feels natural to think about what lies beyond sadness.
Is it sad to live? People can live a life surrounded with happiness and joy. At the same time, they carry this destiny to one day pass away, without being crushed by despair, giving up, or mourning. Living may mean getting acquainted with what lies beyond sadness.
I am delighted to share this album with you, and hope that you discover some hints for living a life within these songs.

Eriko Takemoto
Ms. Eriko Takemoto graduated from the Tokyo University of Art (Vocal Music Department) as an Alto. She has continued her vocal performance in German lieder and religious music. She has developed her professional career through organizing a wide range of musical activities including concerts and recitals in Washington D.C. (USA), Vienna (Austria) and Tokyo. She learned singing lessons from Professors Takanosuke Watanabe and Walter Berry.
