A song born from the moment when everyday life-once taken for granted-slowly begins to turn into a series of "lasts."

"18 (Before It's Just a Memory)" captures the fragile in-between of being eighteen-
not quite a child, yet not fully an adult-
caught between the urge to hold on and the need to move forward.

This track was created through Fantune, a fan-driven music co-creation platform,
using words and emotions collected from classmates.

It is a record of a moment that is not yet a memory-captured just before it becomes one.

Artist Profile

  • Dalmo Jyunji

Born in Gifu, Japan. A high school senior artist and creator exploring the future of Japanese idol culture. Driven by a strong desire to revitalize idol music rooted in Japanese culture and subculture, they launched the project "Idol Great Revolution." The project aims to create a new ecosystem where fans emotions and ideas can directly shape music, with current efforts focused on developing a fan-participatory music creation app. With no prior experience in music production, they taught themselves songwriting and composition, releasing the debut track "Ichizu (Honest Self Ver.)." Despite being promoted only within their school community, the song surpassed 4,000 streaming plays. They also choreographed the song themselves and performed it as part of a team with friends at a school festival, demonstrating a hands-on, all-round creative approach from music and lyrics to choreography and performance. By blending authentic emotion with Japanese pop culture and idol traditions, they aim to redefine how idol music is created and shared, and to bring Japans unique creative culture to a global audience.
