-A CLOCKWORK MYTH-
A mini album co-produced by lasah, a vocalist/lyricist who has been releasing self-produced concept albums featuring artists such as i am robot proud, Yasunori Mitsuda, Kikuo, siinamota and more, and sasakure.UK, an artist representing the millennial generation who has been actively creating works, recently collaborating with Akiko Yano and novelizing his works with author Iruma Ningen.
This album, "CLOCKWORK ALPHA", created by the two storytellers who have been collaborating for years, is constructed by sasakure.UK's elaborate track-making that sublimates various genres such as electronic breakbeat, jazz and tiptune, and lasah's voice that gives the melody transparency and a feeling of melancholy.
In addition to 5 new tracks, a remix version of "MONSTER" (composed by ATOLS) from lasah's 2nd album "I LOVE YOU," is recorded. The jacket illustration is by Kana Ohtsuki, one of Japan's representative young artist, and the artwork design is by Yumasaito.
Born in Kobe, Japan, lasah spent her childhood and adolescence in the bayside area of California, influenced by Japanese literature, games, anime and manga that her grandfather sent to her from Japan. lasah became interested in expressing herself through singing during catholic school, as the hymns that she learned at mass are still in the basis of her music. lasah retuned to Japan when she was 18, and began uploading VOCALOID cover songs on the internet during her studies at University of Tokyo graduate school. She became well-known with the song "NILGIRI" in which she was credited for the vocals. In 2013, lasah released her first science-fiction novel based concept album "INNOCENCE". Following this highly rated self-produced, she released her second concept album "I LOVE YOU," which made audible the many shapes of love that Japanese modern literature portrayed. She is also vigorously working with other artists as guest vocals and lyricists.
