ボサノヴァをルーツにもち、ガットギターの弾き語りのスタイルで独自の世界観を繰り広げて来た近田ゆうきの、前作から3年ぶりの通算4作目となるアルバム。シンプルな弾き語りをメインで構成されたアルバムは初となり、シンガーソングライターとして新境地に達した、アーティストの魅力たっぷりのアルバムとなっている。全てコロナ禍で書き下ろした楽曲たち。コロナ渦で経験した絶望、諦め、小さな希望、心の変化が繊細に表現され、人々の心に共鳴する。真の癒しをもたらすと定評のある自然からのメッセージソング。今作ではさらに自然愛溢れたアンビエント音楽が詰まっている。気づくとそこに咲いていて、優しく寄り添う花たちのように、希望、癒しを与えてくれる逸品。楽曲『大好きだから会わない』では、多方面で活躍するピアニスト須藤信一郎がゲスト参加。さらに切なさを増し、アルバムの聞きどころとなっている。
Graduated from Kunitachi College of Music. In 2003, he encountered a CD by João Gilberto, the god of bossa nova, and in 2007, he first came to Japan, which led him to begin performing as a bossa nova performer. In 2011, he released his first album, "Samba Without a Name" (recorded in Rio de Janeiro), nationwide. In 2014, he made his major debut with his second album, "Light of May" (a collection of original Japanese songs). In 2020, he released his third album, "Ripples." In 2023, he released his fourth album, "Kazauta," nationwide. In 2024, he released his fifth album, "Singing Miyazawa Kenji." In September 2015, as part of the 120th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Brazil, he held a concert at the local IMA Hall (capacity 500 people) with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Brazilian Embassy in Japan, which was well received. In recent years, he has also been active as a singer-songwriter, expressing his own unique worldview with his roots in bossa nova. He performs in a variety of locations, including temples, old houses, galleries, art museums, and buildings designated as tangible cultural properties, and is also active in collaborating with yoga, recitation, dancers, and theater. He has performed live with James Onoda (Kome Kome Club), Kensaku Tanigawa, and many other artists, and has also written songs for them.
