A Concrete Mur's third album.
The first half is a documentary work that vividly traces the process that led to the formation of A Concrete Mur, incorporating both self-criticism and broader questions. At the same time, it is structured as a solo work by Takaki Nishimura. Previously released songs by FOXPILL CULT are used as source material, with Kensuke Funamoto (Yashiki) appearing as guest drummer and Akira Takazawa (sik) as guest bassist.
On "Drop Dead, Romancer,"a track from sik's latest album Labor and life is also sampled.
The second half is structured as an ongoing documentary. A Concrete Mur's second album captured in full the release show for the band's first album, MEISHIN. This album, in turn, contains the complete recording of the April 5, 2026 performance, which was staged as an attempt to recreate that live recording onstage once again.
Comment from Takaaki Nishimura
"A Concrete Mur's third album is a documentary work that records both the process through which the band came into being and its present moment, while setting the boundaries between 'work,' 'record,' 'reenactment,' and 'falsification' into circulation."
A multidisciplinary art collective that constructs language as signs and sound as stage design, presenting an expanded field of perception. Centered around Takaaki Nishimura (FOXPILL CULT), Kouya Juusangatsu (ex. Kaiten Hyakume), Mari Komoda (Seigo Showa Office), and Sui, the project began experimentally in 2020 under the name ACM:::. After five years of recording and production, the group released its first album, MEISHIN, in 2026 and returned to its original project name, A Concrete Mur. Drawing on the members' deep involvement in Japan's underground theatre scene, A Concrete Mur develops new forms of expression as a contemporary form of post-underground. Rather than treating each member's activities and works as fixed, completed products, the collective approaches them as documents that continue to be rewritten through recording, reenactment, and falsification, making the very boundary between work and reality itself the subject of its practice.
