洋楽チャートにインスパイアされた重厚なシンセサウンドを武器に、国内外のゲストアーティストと共に世界展開するThe Structures (a.k.a Yusei Koga)が、日本とインドネシアを股にかけ活躍してきたジャズシンガーソングライターの向香織をボーカリストに迎えて送り出す第二弾。
本作は、ノスタルジックなCity Popのエッセンスを取り入れつつ、エレクトリックなサウンドで現代的に仕上げた一曲となっている。レトロなシンセの響きと、過去と未来を行き交うような浮遊感のある歌詞が絶妙にマッチし、まるで時間を旅するような感覚を味わえる。
海外でもスタンダードとなっているコライト（Co-writing）の制作方式を取り入れ、トラックメイカーとシンガーソングライターそれぞれの魅力を最大限に引き出した本作。懐かしさと新しさが交錯する、唯一無二のエレクトリックシティーポップに仕上がった。
アーティスト情報
向 香織
福岡県出身。音楽好きの家族に囲まれ、幼少期よりエレクトーンや吹奏楽に親しむ。大学卒業後は外資系企業で働く傍ら、ジャズバー・ライブハウス等で歌手活動を始める。 2016年9月からはインドネシア・ジャカルタに活躍の場を移し、43,000人以上が来場したジャパンカルチャーイベントへの参加、約1.5万人の観客を集めたモスク内でのコンサート、五つ星ホテルラウンジやレストランでのレギュラー演奏、Motion Blue Jakarta（Blue Note系列、Motion Blue Yokohamaの姉妹店）にてインドネシア人＆日本人アーティストとの共演等、日本とインドネシアを股にかけて幅広く活躍。 2020年3月には、自身のインドネシアでの音楽生活の集大成となる1st full album「Nostalgia（インドネシア語読みで「ノスタルギア」）」を発売。日本とインドネシアのミュージシャン15人以上が参加する、まさに「日イの架け橋」とも言えるコラボアルバムが完成した。 2020年4月より拠点を日本に戻し、6月には本多劇場「DISTANCE」のエンディングテーマ「DISTANCE」の英訳詞と歌唱を担当。また、2021年2月に放送のTVドラマ「西荻窪三ツ星洋酒堂」（MBS毎日放送）にて、自身のオリジナル曲2曲、カバー曲1曲がBGMとして採用され話題に。現在は都内ホテルラウンジやレストラン等を中心に活動中。 2017年第5回岡崎ジャズヴォーカルコンテスト・ファイナリスト。
