This song was written and composed about 10 years ago when I was still in high school.
At that time, as I accumulated many experiences in my own way, I was discouraged to the point that "there is no such thing as beautiful love in this world" and "I will never be able to truly love people again" by witnessing the difficulty of loving others and the dirty parts of myself and human beings. However, as I continued to write the song in the midst of such disappointment, I found a glimmer of hope that perhaps beautiful love exists somewhere, just that I have not found it yet. I was also able to make a decision to face the idea of love again.

In the ten years between the writing of this song and its release, I have experienced many things. As a member of society, as a husband, as a father, and as my various responsibilities and roles increased, I experienced a lot of happiness and trials, and only now do I feel that I have finally arrived at the answer to this song.
The lyrics and the song have not changed at all from 10 years ago, but the essential content of this song has finally been completed after 10 years.

I would be happy if this song could be such a song that would enrich the dry hearts of those who listen to it.

  • Kouichi Shiraki

    Kouichi Shiraki, a singer-songwriter who performs with heartfelt vocals and accompaniment. He switches between guitar and piano depending on the song, delivering performances that are sometimes intense, sometimes sentimental. He first wrote lyrics and composed music in sixth grade. Bullying at school and his first love became catalysts, leading him to channel emotions he couldn't express elsewhere into his songs. In the fall of his second year of junior high, he enrolled in the prestigious training school, Music School Voice, which has produced artists like Ayaka, YUI, Leo Ieiri, and Vaundy. From there, he learned instruments, vocal training, and music theory from scratch. He began serious songwriting. His stockpile of original songs written over the years now exceeds 260. He creates a wide range of music, from relatable love ballads and stress-free rock to lighthearted folk and strange songs with bizarre worldviews. His motto for songwriting is to capture various moments in life and be a companion to each person's journey. Just as music saved him during his bullied middle school years, he aspires to be a source of encouragement, urging listeners to think, "Let's keep pushing through life tomorrow too." His signature song, "Huzakenna(Oh Shit!), is a stress-filled yet somehow warm message song that resonates with any scenario in relationships-school, work, friends, or lovers. After 13 years of struggling and honing his craft, Shiraki Koichi finally began releasing music in March 2024. In March 2025, he held his first solo live show at Shimokitazawa LOFT, which sold out! In September 2025, he released his first music video. Working independently, he continues to fund his music releases through crowdfunding. Kouichi Shiraki is expected to continue his energetic activities in 2026, including the release of the single "Tensai(Genius)" and his second solo live show. This independent artist, still relatively unknown, is one to watch as we see how many listeners he will attract this year.
