The Vounds
The Vounds（ザ・ヴァウンズ）は、AYA（Vo）、RYO（Ba）、HARUKA（Gt）、TETSU （Dr）からなる4人組オルタナティブバンド。 2025年夏、ロンドン滞在中のRYO、HARUKA、TETSUが、音楽修⾏のため現地に移住していたAYAとスタジオセッションを⾏ったことをきっかけに結成。初セッションとは思えない強烈なケミストリーが⽣まれ、そのままアビー・ロード・スタジオでレコーディングを敢⾏。結成からわずか1週間後には、ブラーやエイミー・ワインハウス、ザ・リバティーンズらも出演してきたロンドン・カムデンタウンのThe Dublin Castleで初ライブを⾏い、観客を熱狂させた。 オルタナティブロックを軸に、ポストパンクの鋭さ、インディー・スリーズの美学、ポップなフック、ヒップホップやダンスミュージック由来のビート感を融合。独自の⾳を追求すべく研究し尽くされたベース、巧みなリズムセクションと質感豊かな唯⼀無⼆のギター、そして奔放かつ繊細に、歌とラップを⾃在に⾏き来するAYAのクールなボーカルが交差し、ジャンルの境界を軽やかに越えていく。 直球のオルタナティブロックをベースに、テクノ、ブレイクビーツ等をバンドサウンドで解釈するなど、ラディカルな感性を持ち合わせつつ、その質感を楽器を駆使してあくまでも人⼒で再現する・アナログレコーディングにこだわるなど、その職⼈気質は、何でもボタンひとつで瞬時にAI⽣成が可能な現代に対する、彼らなりのアンチテーゼでもある。 ロンドンのアンダーグラウンドが持つ荒削りな空気と、東京のネオンのように研ぎ澄まされた感性。The Voundsは、その二つを内包するクロスカルチャーな存在として、現代性と国際性を兼ね備えた、内向きな世相を痛快に吹き⾶ばすバンドの姿を提⽰している。
