In the City Where Dreams Were Lost (feat. HATSUNE MIKU)

    AYURIE

I started composing music in April 2025.
Ever since I was a junior high school student, I wanted to create music, but the environment at the time did not allow it.
Now in my forties, I finally began this challenge in earnest, even though I had no prior musical experience.
I first composed about 25 instrumental tracks, and then moved on to creating Vocaloid songs.
At first, I lacked confidence, so I used Suno AI only as a reference for the chorus melody, while composing all other parts myself.
The melodies came together more naturally than I expected, and I was very satisfied with the result.
I struggled especially with the intro, but through trial and error, changing chords, adding breaks, and refining details. I found a version that truly felt right.
While studying city pop, I discovered an instrument called the clavinet and decided to use it in this song.
Its sound fit perfectly with the world of the track, and the final clavinet phrase at the end is my favorite part.
I once gave up on my dream, but now I have painted it again through sound.

I began composing music on April 2, 2025. As a teenager, I dreamed of becoming a composer in middle school and wished to play guitar in high school, but neither came true at the time. After a long detour, I finally started creating music in my 40s, with no prior musical background. My goal is to release one instrumental track every week (on a separate account) and one Vocaloid song every month (or every other month). I am still at the very beginning of my journey, but I hope you will walk with me and watch it grow.
