Sometimes your catchphrases slip out of me. "Oh well" "it will work out" "that is fine too." When we were dating I never thought anything of it but after we broke up I realized you have taken up residence inside me. A friend pointed out "you have been talking like that lately" and I froze. I want to erase it but I cannot. Even when I try to change my words I find myself saying them again. Even though you are gone pieces of you remain inside me. I do not know if that is precious or sad anymore. Will it fade with time? Or will I live borrowing your words for the rest of my life? I ask myself in the mirror but no answer comes back. I mutter "oh well" in your words. In that moment I remember you again.
