Emotions spiral out of control, with love being the only thing accelerating.
"Helter Skelter"captures the fragile state of a heart trapped in a love you know you should walk away from-but can't.
Behind the repeated phrase "I know" lies a painful awareness-of the other person's feelings, of your own position-yet still, an inescapable dependency and obsession seep through. Even as the narrator shields herself with pride and defiance, the fear of being abandoned refuses to stay hidden, and her emotions slowly distort, unraveling into noise.
"I'm this cute," "I've given you so much"-
these are words of self-affirmation, spoken just to keep from falling apart. And yet, despite it all, she continues to cling to someone she knows she shouldn't. That contradiction, raw and unfiltered, pierces deeply into the listener.
Fragments of repeated phrases and words that lose their meaning midstream feel less like logic and more like pure impulse. Beauty and ugliness, love and pain-everything tangles together, forming a chaotic vortex of emotion.
"Helter Skelter" is a love song on the verge of collapse-
where a fractured sense of self collides with an uncontrollable, relentless love.
