Beachside talks will digitally release their new single "Cassis" on March 20, 2024.
This is her first new work in a year since her previous mini-album "Marble Town".
This work is written and composed by Gt.'s Ryo Fukushima, recorded, mixed and mastered by Kensei Ogata, and the jacket features a new illustration by manga artist and illustrator Horota.
This song is influenced by American shoegaze bands such as Ringo Deathstarr and Nothing, They Are Gutting a Body of Water, but also has the pop feel of traditional Beachside talks.
Beachside talks. A 3-piece shoegaze / dream pop band based in Tokyo, formed in 2017 and fully active since 2022. Centered around vocalist and guitarist Ayaka Shibusawa, the band creates shimmering guitar arpeggios, crystal-clear vocals, and ethereal floating soundscapes. Their signature dazzling purity blends innocent nostalgia with fresh sparkling melodies, earning strong acclaim both in Japan and overseas. Releases include the 1st mini album Marble Town (2023), the conceptual full album Hokorobi (2025), and the latest single Hope (March 2026), inspired by the moon's phases and the theme of farewell as a blessing. Their music resonates with fans of Alvvays, Beach Fossils, Galileo Galilei, and The Pains of Being Pure at Heart. With a bright summery vibe and immersive live performances that make the audience sway gently, Beachside talks delivers a dreamy yet powerful experience. Perfect for an outdoor festival like Fuji Rock, their sound feels like sunlight sparkling on waves, bringing light and emotion to the vast nature of Naeba. We are ready to take the next step as future headliners. Let's create unforgettable moments together on the ROOKIE A GO-GO stage!
