Moonlight quietly illuminates the peaceful waters of the Okitsu River.
Inspired by Utagawa Hiroshige's "Okitsu River" from The Fifty-three Stations of the Tōkaidō, this track marks the seventeenth stop of the Tokaido Night Journey series.
Towering cliffs.
Wind-swept pine trees.
A full moon reflected across the river.
The distant lights of the post town shimmer softly in the night.
Blending dusty Boom-Bap grooves with shamisen, koto, and a heartfelt male-female duet, the song reimagines an Edo-period landscape as a timeless midnight drive.
This is not a journey to hurry.
Nor a journey to outrun anyone.
It is simply an invitation to follow the moon...
...and drift quietly beyond the night, along the timeless Okitsu River.

Liminal Reverie is an instrumental music project centered on the theme between reality and dreams. Between day and night. After the crowds fade away. Moments where reality and dreams have not yet fully separated. Liminal Reverie turns the lingering presence, afterglow, and quiet atmosphere of those moments into sound. The project is built on two complementary musical axes: Japanese side: Edo Lofi Western side: Liminal Reverie Each explores a different world, while sharing the same sense of liminality.
