Connecting people through the rhythm of samba. Music where everyone becomes part of the moment. Phytoncide Ignis Hideout (IGNIS) is a Tokyo-based rhythm entertainment group rooted in samba and batucada. Our members have years of experience performing in the percussion sections of the Asakusa Samba Carnival. Built on that experience, we create powerful grooves by bringing together samba percussion, drums, DJ sounds, fitness, and other styles of music and movement. What we want to create is more than a performance. When the rhythm starts, your body starts moving. Strangers smile at each other. And before you know it, everyone is sharing the same beat. That is the kind of experience we love. You don't need to know samba. You don't need to be a musician. You don't even need to know how to dance. From children to adults, everyone can join in and enjoy the moment. We perform at live venues, festivals, community events, corporate events, fitness events, and anywhere people want to connect through rhythm. We also collaborate with artists from different worlds, including DJs and drummers, exploring new ways to bring rhythm, energy, and people together. From Tokyo to the world. Feel the rhythm. Connect with people. Enjoy the moment. Wherever IGNIS plays, we hope to leave behind a little more rhythm, energy, and a few more smiles.
