September

"Letters to the Seasons" is an ongoing piano project by Rui Fujishiro, releasing one piece each month from June 2026 to May 2027. Each composition bears the name of its month, capturing the changing seasons and the emotions that quietly accompany them.
The fourth chapter, "September" is an ambient / neo-classical piece that portrays the nameless threshold between summer and autumn.
The call of the evening cicadas seems to announce the end of summer. The leaves have yet to change color, while the shadows slowly grow longer. Traces of summer still linger in the landscape, yet in certain fleeting moments, it feels as though the heart has already stepped into the season ahead. Through delicate piano melodies, Rui captures this peculiar feeling that belongs only to September.
"September" is a letter to the nameless emotions we encounter in the quiet space between seasons.
