OHL's 2nd EP "NOTE" is an ambitious release that vividly captures the group's current identity through three genre-diverse tracks.
Each song is built upon a foundation of band-driven arrangements, with a strong focus on the texture and rawness of live instrumentation-delivering a sound that feels both dynamic and organic.
The title track "NOTE" is an uplifting song inspired by the motif of a single notebook.
It speaks to those who try to stay strong while moving forward, combining the nostalgic feel of early 2000s J-POP with a school-rock vibe and emotional energy delivered through a rock sound.
"Uruseena" is a rebellious anthem set to a grunge-tinged pop-punk track, shouting the message of living true to yourself without taking orders.
Rather than pursuing perfection, the recording process prioritized authenticity-capturing the raw emotion, spontaneity, and playful spirit of the performance.
"BORMB" features selected members SHURU and KANNA from the group's rap team, who each wrote and composed their own parts.
Refined and rearranged based on their live performance experiences, this updated version blends aggression with precision for a sharpened and impactful delivery.
The EP was fully produced by GEN, a member of OHL.
From vocal direction and recording to mixing, he oversaw the entire production process-reinforcing the group's DIY spirit and self-produced style.
This release reaffirms OHL's expressive and creative capabilities, pushing beyond the boundaries typically associated with dance-vocal groups.

Formed by the oldest member, who personally brought the group together, with the youngest member serving as the company CEO under a unique, self-directed structure. Known for live performances built around live vocals and improvised dance, allowing for a high degree of arrangement and variation on stage.
