These compositions are music that was recorded at the Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha shrine in the city of Fujinomiya in Shizuoka Prefecture.
This was my third time at Sengen Taisha since my first visit in 2019, and the place was filled with feelings of prayer and gratitude, calming my mind and body and causing me to quietly tear up as if it was blowing away all of the dark and heavy feelings of the world.
It was held in an atmosphere of supreme bliss, with the grounds filled with dancing cherry blossoms, the Wakutamaike pond, and the shrine Grove trees all swaying together in a gentle wind like the finest silk, while the ringing songs of the birds set my heart aflutter and even the gods seemed to smile upon the constant sounds of people praying, taiko drums, and the cheerful voices of the many visitors.
The melodies of each song were all reverberated by the many Sengen Taisha shrine grove trees.
Through the "FLOWER VOICE SYSTEM" which is currently under development by Hiroyuki Suzuki of AOIHOSHI, a melody was created filled with the personalities of all the plants.
And pianist Roman Kawasaki performed a one-of-a-kind improvisation along with the melody of the plants.
Along with the release of the album, we also released stories of the history of the Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha and other never before heard stories from Chief priest Koda. I hope that all of you will also view this to further expand your imaginations.

Artist Profile

  • AOIHOSHI

Our unit "AOIHOSHI" provides works created in collaboration with nature as a "Flower messenger" cooperating with Keita Kawasaki, a flower artist. Bioelectric current as a source of all life! It's been five years since we came across an instrument to transform bioelectric current into musical scale. Melodies heard from the instrument were free and gentle we have never heard before, exactly expressing nature. Visiting various forests across the country, we have started to play with various plants. Playing with plants at each forest is actually once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Focusing just on sounds of each other with tacitly coordinated arrangement, we play music keeping our minds empty. Then, next thing we knew was a pleasure of "oneness" itself. While it may not be so long before it is scientifically verified, we believe that music created in that way will lead many people to nature and profound comfort as well.
