One winter night, she notices her reflection in the window looking a little different, as she slowly begins to accept the kindness of someone who never rushes her and quietly waits for her heart to catch up.
From the initials she secretly scribbles in the margins of her textbook to replaying their conversations on the train ride home, her feelings stay "happy and still afraid," just like the song's title. Even though there's no guarantee they'll meet again tomorrow, she finds herself believing in their casual "see you," holding both warmth and fear close as she takes a small step forward in this gentle winter love ballad.
