音楽コレクティブAlbemが2ndアルバム「continue?」をリリース。
同時にアルバムのコンセプトをゲーム化した実行ファイル「continue.exe」の無償配布を開始。
ポストダブステップ由来のダークなクラブサウンドを基軸に、R&B、ダブ、アンビエント、ニューメタル、ドラムンベース、J-POPといった多数の要素が走馬灯のように煌びやかに駆け巡る。インタールードを挟んだアルバム後半では空気感が一気に変化し、息を吞むような静けさ（track5: come find me.）や過剰なまでのノスタルジー（track6: i_miss_u）を経てクライマックスへと雪崩れ込む。
本作のテーマは「レジリエンス」だ。ビジネス用語として汎用化しているが、もとは心理学の用語であり、語意としては本来、物理的な「弾力」を意味する。
コロナショック以降、すべてが0と1の二元論に分断された情報空間・社会・世界。そのアンビエンスは音楽にも反映されることになる。だがその楽曲自体をさまざまなジャンルや形式へと弾力的に変化させ「音楽のレジリエンス」を示すことで、音楽の中に常にすでに染み込んでいる社会そのものに対して、レジリエンスを問い直すことはできないか。世界のあるべき柔軟さをそこに垣間見ることはできないか。本作はそうした問いから生まれた意欲作だ。
アルバムリリースと同時に、コンセプトをインタラクティブに視覚化した実行ファイル「continue.exe」が無償で配布される。
また制作の中で参照された楽曲のプレイリストもSpotify上で公開される。
アーティスト情報
Albem
nozakimugai(vo.)、宮﨑脩平(gt.)、佐藤友紀(ba.)、古沢成(dr.)の4ピースバンド。大学の同級生で結成。都内で活動している。2025年より、サックスとダブミキサーを加えた6人で制作・演奏を行う。 当初はポストロックやポストパンクのサウンドを志向し、次第にエレクトロに傾倒。それらの時期を経て、現在はビートとグルーヴに軸足を置いた演奏と自由なサウンドを追求している。 nozakimugai(vo.)は作曲家としても活動。『最も無害で、あまりにも攻撃的』(中田江玲監督、2022)、『雲ゆくままに』(楊礼平監督、2024)、『銀河』(木島悠翔監督、2026)などの映画劇伴を手掛ける。 2026年4月、EP「Bones」をリリース。
