At Studio M, we present classical music by performing directly from the composer's original score, rendered on a computer and distributed digitally (performance instruction scores are created using KAWAI's Score Maker).
For this release, we present one of Beethoven's most beloved masterpieces as a single.
The Piano Sonata No. 8 "Pathétique," composed around 1798, is a representative work from his early period. Consisting of three movements, its second movement-marked "Adagio cantabile " ( " slowly, in a singing manner " ) - is especially well known. From the very beginning, the gently unfolding, song-like theme can truly be described as a "song" expressed through the piano.
In this recording, while embracing the unique qualities of computer-based performance, we aim to portray its beautiful and transparent sound world with utmost simplicity.
We hope you will enjoy it as a peaceful accompaniment to a quiet evening.
Studio M produces and releases classical music-focusing primarily on piano works-created entirely on PC using virtual instruments. By taking advantage of unique digital capabilities, such as the freedom to select any instrument, this music embraces qualities that cannot be replicated in a live performance. However, there are no added arrangements; every piece is created simply following the sheet music. The goal is always to honor and bring out the true beauty of the original composition. Please enjoy these masterpieces and discover a fresh, new charm within them.
