Hitsuji-Gumo (Sheep clouds)
Luna Watanabe
Where are the clouds in the sky born, and where do they disappear to?
What have they seen along their journey, drifting quietly above us?
When everything I had been holding onto slipped through my hands,
I finally realized something.
I could open my hands freely-
toward the sunlight,
toward the quiet rhythm of my own heartbeat.
And in that moment, I understood:
I had been free all along.
"Hitsuji-Gumo (Sheep Clouds)" is a song about letting go of attachment and discovering the freedom that appears when we finally face our true selves.
