I turned 60 this year and work as a doctor in the middle of nowhere on the Kanto Plain, 100km north of Tokyo. I resumed composing in 2018 after a 32-year hiatus. For two years, from 1978, I lived in Rye, New York, due to my father's work. Rye had an amusement park and a wooden roller coaster. It was so cold in the winter that I couldn't walk outside without earmuffs because my ears hurt. New York is my spiritual home, and although I'll never live there again, I sometimes feel like my heart returns to Rye.

I'm a doctor living in the countryside of the Kanto Plain, 100km north of Tokyo. I was born in 1966 and hadn't done any musical work for 32 years, but I found the time in 2018 to start composing musics again. I lived in New York for two years from 1978 for my father's work, but I forgot English. I met my jazz teacher as a teenager and became interested in jazz. I was originally a big fan of YMO and Ryuichi Sakamoto, but after meeting my teacher, my musical tastes changed. That said, I still love both Ryuichi Sakamoto and YMO. Personally, I'm willing to compose musics for anything except enka. I consider the time I wrote enka to be the culmination of my career as a composer. I've decided to share my music, from jazz to techno, classical to world music, with the world as proof of my life. To my teacher, Katsu, I'd like to thank you for imparting your musical knowledge to me at a young age. The hook section is from approximately 0:08 to 0:23 (from the start of the music).
