2025年第2弾リリースとなる新曲「Signal」を2月19日にリリースする。今回サウンド・プロデュースを担ったのはShin Sakiura。数々のプロデュースワークで存在感を増すだけでなく、自らアーティストとしても活動しており、2023年の4thアルバム『Inner Division』にはbaneもゲストシンガーとして参加、ツアーでも共演していた。

この両者がふたたび手を組んだ「Signal」は、他者との関係性から照らし出される“自分ひとりでは知りえなかった自分”と向き合う楽曲。 “誰か”がいることによってパワーが生まれ、救われる面もあるが、一方で、ひとりでいれば味わうことのなかった傷や悲しみ、さびしさも生まれる。そして“誰か”と向き合うとき、自分の心が泣くような選択をしないことを肯定し、こうした心の反応＝シグナルをしっかりと受け取り、自分の心を信じて進む先にこそ、「唯一無二で美しく、心地よいあなたの人生」が待っているのだと宣言する。

他者との関わりに悩み、傷ついたとしても、ぬくもりには感謝しながら自分は自分の心のシグナルを信じて進めばいい。「”ありがとう”振り切って 行くこの先がmy way」というメッセージを、Shin Sakiuraの繊細かつ柔らかなプロダクションがさらにクリアに聞かせており、baneの音楽人生の新たなチャプターを開くような晴れやかな楽曲に仕上がった。

    bane is a Yokohama-born and raised singer-songwriter whose musical foundation was shaped by shigin (traditional Japanese chant), which she began studying at the age of five, alongside deep roots in R&B and soul. Since launching her career in April 2020, she has steadily established herself as a distinctive and evolving presence in Japan's contemporary music scene. Her debut EP "air" was released in September 2022, followed by "mono" in December 2023. In January the following year, she marked a major milestone with a successful first solo headline show. In March 2025, Bane unveiled her third EP, "CONTRAST". The project highlighted the breadth of her artistry, incorporating new stylistic elements while further refining her signature sound. On April 19 of the same year, she successfully held her second one-man live performance, underscoring her growing momentum. With sultry lyricism, genre-defying soundscapes, and groove-laden yet fluid vocals, Bane continues to expand her sonic universe-an artist poised for even greater impact in the years ahead.
