From the experimental Japanese rap project XEON, formed by Xansei and Leon Fanourakis, comes the new single 'Houhuku (Revenge)'.
XEON is a project built on freedom, curiosity, and rebellion. Rather than staying inside one genre or sound, it exists to constantly experiment, break rules, and rediscover the joy of making music. Rooted in hip-hop, but influenced by punk energy, electronic music, dubstep, noise, and alternative culture, XEON continues to explore what Japanese rap can become in the future.
'Houhuku' is an aggressive and high-impact track that fuses hip-hop and dubstep into a raw, explosive sound. The track is co-produced by Xansei and Yohji Igarashi, featuring heavy bass, distorted synths, and tense sound design that reflect the project's fearless approach.
Leon Fanourakis delivers sharp, emotional, and confrontational verses, expressing anger, frustration, and resistance with uncompromising intensity. The title "Houhuku (Revenge)" represents more than retaliation, it symbolizes a musical counterattack against social pressure, expectations, and creative limitations.
For XEON, music is not about perfection or market formulas. It is about capturing impulse, risk, failure, and transformation in real time. Each release is treated as an experiment, a playground, and a statement of independence.
This single represents the current state of XEON"s evolving identity. constantly destroying and rebuilding its own sound in pursuit of something new. "Houhuku" stands as a manifesto of creative freedom and punk spirit.
By refusing to settle into one style, XEON continues to challenge genre boundaries and redefine Japanese rap on a global stage.
"Houhuku" is not an endpoint.
It is part of an ongoing experiment.
