NUMAKOI

Numa Koi is a remix EP in which Takase Toya revisits his previously released songs, reconstructing them together with longtime collaborator and trackmaker RINZO.
Rather than adding new narratives, the project was created to reexamine the emotions and temperatures left within the original works, reorganized through a present-day perspective.

Romantic feelings inevitably change over time.
Memories become blurred, events are unconsciously edited,
yet the emotions from that period remain-lingering with an inexplicable weight.
This EP focuses on those feelings that were never fully resolved.

In approaching these remixes, the priority was not structural reinvention or excessive ornamentation.
Instead, the goal was to preserve the emotional core of the original songs,
while intensifying their sense of stagnation, inescapability, and the pull that makes one return to them repeatedly.

The title Numa Koi (Swamp Love) does not suggest affirmation or denial of love.
It represents a decision to leave unresolved emotions as they are,
without forcing them into clear explanations or conclusions.

Listeners are not expected to find definitive answers within this EP.
If, after the music fades, a subtle emotional residue remains,
that lingering sensation itself reflects the essence of this work.
