A fog of calm

I have released albums for the second consecutive year, "biotope I" in 2018 and "biotope II" in 2019. After a short charging period, I will announce the single "A fog of calm" for the first time in 2 years.

The information-oriented society demands extreme efficiency and achievements not only for adults but also for children and toddlers, forcing them to become "successful people", and the media has extremely simplified things into binary oppositions and deformed, digital has removed and purified individuality and ambiguity from young people.

The original "calm" was removed one after another, and the kindness disappeared from the words people spoke in a blink of an eye, and when we noticed it, we couldn't stop this tremendously fast flow.

The second phase of the information-oriented society is to regain the "calm" that everyone originally seeks from this distorted and competitive society that has misunderstood its original meaning.

In the COVID-19 pandemic that began in 2020, our last freedom, "freedom of movement," or even "journey," was robbed, but in time, we still touched the sea, rivers, mountains, and sky. And, touching on the activities of the people who nurture them, I wrote this "A fog of calm", convinced that I could still be kind.

Part of the proceeds from this single will support the lives of children who lost their parents during the Great East Japan Earthquake until they reach adulthood through a charity concert that I hold with ocarina player Mineaki Hotta from 2011 to the end of the year. It will be donated for the "Hatachi Fund" that is active.
