Ami Yoda is a Japanese voice performer. She has been climbing trees and boulders since childhood and engages in free improvisation with a wild sense, focusing on voice-centered expression. In this first album, she recorded voice solos and had a session with guitarist Takahiro Toshiro ,over the course of two days. The first day was recorded in a studio, while the second day was recorded outdoors. The outdoor recording took place on the boulder at the Oyayama Observatory in Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture, with permission obtained from the local authorities. She incorporated the sounds of birds, the swaying of trees in the wind, and aircrafts flying across the sky into the session. The album's title, "ONSIGHT," is derived from a term used in rock climbing, which she has been a fan of for many years.
Born in Aichi Prefecture in 1985, he currently resides in the prefecture. He is an improviser who expresses himself primarily through his voice and his entire body. In 2009, he joined the free improvisation band Geonori, where he experienced improvisation for the first time. That same year, he was inspired by the performance of improvisational drummer Shoji Hano, and participated in his Australian and domestic tours. He subsequently performed at numerous art events, including the Aichi Performing Arts Garden (2011) with Geonori, and the Akita Art Project (2013) and Shinano Country Primitive Sense Art Festival (2016) as a solo artist.
