"Letters to the Seasons" is an ongoing piano project by Rui Fujishiro, releasing one piece each month from June 2026 to May 2027. Each composition bears the name of its month, capturing the changing seasons and the emotions that quietly accompany them.
The third chapter, "August," is an ambient neo-classical piece inspired by the sounds of summer. The rustling of leaves in the wind, the distant chorus of cicadas, the breeze drifting through an open window, and the scent of sunlit greenery-through delicate piano melodies, Rui paints the subtle signs of summer that often arrive before the scenery itself.
The scent of summer and its dazzling light gently awaken memories long tucked away, revealing the delicate space where beauty and melancholy quietly coexist.
Like pages from a diary, Rui Fujishiro transforms everyday emotions into music. August is a gentle letter to the soundscape of summer and to the feelings we encounter in the month of August.
