Utakata

Utakata - a Japanese word for the foam that floats on the water's surface and quietly disappears; a metaphor for all things fleeting.

In a cramped world that asks too much of us -
to always understand one another,
to carry everything on our own -
sorrow and sighs can stay just as they are.

Accepting each other's pain and weakness,
spending a little more time, quietly, with the one we love.
If your shoulders feel a little lighter by the end, I'd be glad.
A folk-leaning ballad for acoustic guitar, upright bass, drums, piano and voice.

Written, arranged, performed and sung by yossie.
