Reggie Workman told me, "Play like you draw a picture on a white canvas!" With his words incessantly lingering in my head I have been wondering how that can be possible for a long time. Transferring my favorite tunes, exquisite pictures, insightful books, magnificent scenes, and precious experiences to music, I desperately strive to achieve what the legendary bassist said to me. This album hopefully reflects my long journey with my mentor's advice.
