This work is a record of a performance on a synthesizer system equipped with 24-channel speakers, recorded using dummy head microphones. Please enjoy the three-dimensional sound using headphones. The synthesizer consists of a computer, Universal Serial Bus (USB) audio interface, USB device, line selector, buffer, filter, and mixer. Eight front speakers, eight rear speakers, and eight left and right speakers were used to create a three-dimensional sound field. Each of the eight speakers uses a mixer to move the sound source. The Waveform Audio File of the noise created by Maurizio Bianchi is played back on a computer, and its output signal is played from the eight left and right speakers via a USB audio interface and mixer. Maurizio Bianchi made the following comment: The concept of rumbling and resonance is difficult to express, and at the same time easy to explain in words. But when it is expressed through sound, it knows no explanation; one can only listen and savor its intense viscerality, as in this diabolical work in which the artists have concentrated on noisy expression to draw psychic advantages and neuronal lucubrations. The listener has no other escape than to savor the deafening auditory experience.
Ichiro Tsuji was born in 1966. He started working on noise/industrial music for his band named "Dissecting Table" in Tokyo in 1986. He returned to his hometown of Hiroshima in 1998, and has been pursuing musical activities ever since. His records and compact disks have been released under the independent label of the UPD organization, and under labels in Europe and the United States. In the first and middle stage of his career he controlled the synthesizer and sampler by the sequencer, but since 2012, the works have been produced by controlling PWM signals output from a USB device on a computer. Lately the work is being made by developing an original synthesizer system.
Sacher-Pelz was my pioneering start, driven by passion and youthful impulse. Just a turntable and some vinyls. Then, with the advent of Maurizio Bianchi, came synthesizers, rhythm boxes, echo machines and other neurotic devices. Up to the current digital tools, so sophisticated but depersonalized. However, the spontaneity and authenticity remained unchanged, receiving even more excitement from the end of a cycle and the start of a new one. Heartfelt thanks to all loyal connoisseurs of true experimental sound. Surely you will also follow me in this new artistic path of mine.
