舞台の歴史と概要
近松門左衛門による時代物の傑作。
「牛若丸と弁慶」の伝説を、単なる武勇伝ではなく、心の空虚さを抱えた大男と、本質を見抜く少年の「魂の衝突」として描いています。
近松特有の濃密な情念が、五条大橋という舞台で交錯します。
