Singer-songwriter Satoko Utsumi's seventh song, "Kazanmigusa," portrays a world reminiscent of classical Japanese literature, much like what is found in the Hyakunin Isshu. The title, "Kazanmigusa," is another name for plum blossoms, and the sight of these flowers blooming in full glory, only to fall in abundance, mirrors the image of a woman shedding tears over an unfulfilled love. This song delicately weaves together such emotions and scenery.

Although sung in Japanese, I hope this piece allows people around the world to appreciate the beauty of Japan.

The cover illustration for this release was once again created by the talented illustrator snowchild.
