"Manjusaka" is the 6th single by singer-songwriter Satoko Utsumi.
The image of the red spider lilies (Higanbana) that bloom
in autumn is interwoven with the atmosphere
of the Arab country where the artist lived as a child,
resulting in a somewhat mature and exotic sound.
The title adopts the Sanskrit form.
As with previous works, the jacket illustration is by snowchild.
A singer-songwriter from Hyogo Prefecture, currently based in Tokyo. Renowned for the beauty of string and piano arrangements. During her time as a student at Berklee College of Music, she focused on music and sound effects production for visual works, which has led her to often create songs by painting the background of the music. Recently, she has been creating numerous songs with flowers as the theme. Not only active in Japan, but she also collaborates with overseas artists. As a composer and arranger, she has been involved in the music production of French hip-hop artist Antilopsa Shogoun Noir and singer-songwriter Naoly.
