Two shadows
Beneath the lantern light
So close
But still
We haven't touched
The roar of the mikoshi
Hides my heartbeat
The words "I love you"
Caught inside my throat
Like steam rising
From the festival stalls
This night feels ready
To disappear
But I don't want
To let it fade
Through the waves
Of the festival crowd
I keep searching
For your face
Beside me
Karan—
Geta on the stone street
I pretend I'm fine
While my eyes
Wander everywhere
Evening wind
Tangled in your hair
In the Edo night
Only my heart
Stands naked
At the goldfish stall
The water trembles
One little laugh from you
And my whole world
Comes undone
You stand beside me
Like it's the most
Natural thing
And somehow
That's how I know
This must be love
The thicker the crowd
The closer
Our shoulders get
Every time we touch
I lose
What I meant to say
If I say it now
This moment might break
If I wait too long
Morning will come
Two shadows
Beneath the lantern light
So close
But still
We haven't touched
The roar of the mikoshi
Hides my heartbeat
The words "I love you"
Caught inside my throat
Like steam rising
From the festival stalls
This night feels ready
To disappear
But I don't want
To let it fade
Through the waves
Of the festival crowd
I keep chasing
The side of your face
Sweet little rumors
Like candy sculptures
"They say you're with someone..."
The night wind
Cuts a little deeper
Behind the noise
Of the sideshow tents
I'm standing quietly
Jealous all alone
Fireworks—
DON!
I feel them
Inside my chest
All the words
I couldn't say
Rise into the sky
I hide one little lie
Beneath my obi
Pretending to smile
While my eyes
Burn hot
Even if
I lose my way tonight
I feel like
Your voice alone
Could lead me back
Don't tell me
"Maybe next year"
I can't wait
Until next year
Two shadows
Beneath the lantern light
Tonight
I don't want
To let you go
The cries around
The mikoshi
Push me forward
So this time—
I'll say it
I love you
Before this moment
Vanishes like steam
From the festival stalls
I want to know
The warmth
Of your hand
Even when the festival ends
Even when
The lanterns go dark
Your name
Will still remain

**EDO LOFI - INTERNATIONAL BEST -**
The sound had already crossed the sea.
Now, the stories follow.
*EDO LOFI - INTERNATIONAL BEST -* brings together 13 selected tracks from EDO LOFI, reimagined with English lyrics for listeners around the world.
Samurai carrying their pride beneath the word **MAKOTO**.
A blade waiting inside its sheath in **KIRISUTE GOMEN**.
Demons, gamblers, festivals, forbidden love, and women gazing beyond the walls of Yoshiwara.
These are stories born from the streets, legends, nights, and imagination of Edo.
Traditional Japanese sounds such as shamisen, koto, and taiko meet hip-hop, boom bap, and modern beats, while the lyrics carry the characters and emotions behind the music into a new language.
Some Japanese words remain untranslated.
**MAKOTO.
KIRISUTE GOMEN.

Artist Profile
Liminal Reverie
Liminal Reverie is an instrumental music project centered on the theme between reality and dreams. Between day and night. After the crowds fade away. Moments where reality and dreams have not yet fully separated. Liminal Reverie turns the lingering presence, afterglow, and quiet atmosphere of those moments into sound. The project is built on two complementary musical axes: Japanese side: Edo Lofi Western side: Liminal Reverie Each explores a different world, while sharing the same sense of liminality.
