We Brought TrapSoul to Yamanashi, Then Drove Through the Night is an EP by engineer-artist microM and R&B singer KOTA, capturing the path they have carved through Yamanashi's music scene from 2016 to 2026.
Built on Trap Soul, R&B, Auto-Tune, 808s, late-night sessions, the Chuo Expressway, Tokyo, and the soil of Yamanashi, this project celebrates what the two have created from a place where nothing was guaranteed. It is a tribute to the sound, the words, the people, and the scene they helped cultivate.
More than nostalgia, this EP is a statement of victory and transition. microM & KOTA look back on the era they built, accept the time that cannot be rewound, and turn their pain, growth, and ambition into music for the next stage. They brought TrapSoul to Yamanashi - now they drive through the night toward somewhere new.
