ABOUT PERSPECTIVE
All events change their shapes and impressions depending on the point of view, or perspective. The third single "PERSPECTIVE" follows "ABSTRACTION JAZZ MODE" and "HORIZE," the single preceding the new album released by SFG in 2024. The heavy swells of minimal piano riffs, brushes, and bass are lightly colored by soprano saxophone and violin.
SINSUKE FUJIEDA GROUP
Formed by saxophonist/flutist Sinsuke Fujieda, this jazz-based music group incorporates various genres and released their first album "Evolution" in 2009. In 2021, they released "INFORMEL," a large double CD + DVD work built on a foundation of spiritual jazz, on their own Sofa Records label. In 2024, Paulo Superfly, who runs a record store/label in Paris, heard these recordings, and he was inspired by the free creativity of the legendary Japanese jazz label of the 70's, Three Blind Mice, and the uniqueness of their music, which is not found anywhere else in the world, The LP will be released in 2024. Superfly Records has reissued many rare jazz masterpieces including Afro-Latin, Latin, Caribbean, and Japanese music, and this will be their first new release. In 2024, The third single "PERSPECTIVE" follows "ABSTRACTION JAZZ MODE" and "HORIZE" as the lead single for the new album to be released on SFG in 2024.
SINSUKE FUJIEDA GROUP The Sinsuke Fujieda Group is a Tokyo-based sextet led by saxophonist and flutist Sinsuke Fujieda. Fusing emotionally rich melodies and inner energy with grooves reminiscent of 1970s modal and spiritual jazz, their sound blends classical, world, and Eastern musical elements into a beautifully layered sonic landscape that transcends time. Their organic yet modern ensemble approach has earned them recognition as a new classic in the realm of Japanese spiritual jazz. In April 2025, their latest LP Fukushima was released in Europe by renowned French record store and label Superfly Records, achieving the remarkable feat of reaching No.1 on the Juno Records Jazz Chart.
