Restarting his career as a HIPHOP writer in 2020, "PAPA-KIMG" has released three volumes of the curated album series SoundSourcePool, compiling carefully selected tracks based on his own distinct aesthetic.
His latest endeavor is "Pass The Beat Project", a concept in which DIGG'ed beats are "passed" to rappers and brought to life as finished songs.
For the first installment, the chosen beat was produced by "monos_penta", a beatmaker from Kitakyushu and a member of Project Neeters.
That beat was then passed to "GG", an MC/DJ and beatmaker active in Kanagawa and Tokyo, resulting in the completed track "P.T.B.P".
Set against a beat defined by monos_penta's sampling work infused with a strong '90s atmosphere, GG delivers a smoky yet razor-sharp flow. This chemical reaction-created purely through sound, transcending generation and position-perfectly embodies the core concept of the project.
A beat is passed, intention is infused, and a song is born.
"Pass The Beat Project" starts moving from here.
