This is one of my earliest works, written when I was 18 and just starting to write songs. I wrote it on a guitar given to me by Myabii, a classmate from high school who also produced this CD. When I moved to Tokyo by myself and started performing at open mics at live music venues and going to auditions all the time, I didn't have many songs in my repertoire, so this is one of the songs I always sang.
I think that as a young person, I wanted to put on the gorilla mask and become a nobody, to confirm to myself, "I'm here!" even if I blended into a crowd and no one noticed me.
