At the end of summer 2025, UKI will release the new single "Hyururira".

This song was born on the day UKI heard the news of a precious life being lost due to slander and defamation.
"Hyururira" is a phrase meaning a self who gave up 100 years ago returns as the wind to encourage the self 100 years later, whispering "Do not give up this time."

Produced by Hiplin, a singer-songwriter and producer respected for his unique musical vision. His sound making transformed the wind and air UKI felt on that day into pure sound. The rushing wind in the intro even carries a sense of tension, because we all know deep down that the unseen holds both fear and strength, as well as a mysterious warmth that can save us.

When life feels overwhelming and you are on the verge of giving up, may this song overlap with the wind of that day and become a small force whispering "You can still go on, keep going for someone else as well."

On the release day, a full video collaboration with "HAPPY FLOWER LIVE" will also be unveiled.

Artist Profile

  • UKI

UKI is a singer-songwriter from Kiyosu City, Aichi, Japan. At the age of 20, she moved to Tsujido in Shonan, drawn by her love for nature and a desire to live through music in places where she can feel deeply connected to people. In the quiet surroundings by the sea, she began her music career through social media, spending time reflecting on herself and her emotions. At the core of her music is a simple yet honest idea to turn small, everyday realizations into words. Her songs gently weave into the listeners daily life, capturing subtle emotions with a unique sense of perspective and lyrical sensitivity. While her lyrics feel raw and deeply human, they also carry a lightness that makes them easy to embrace. With a vocal range of nearly three octaves, UKI skillfully blends her mix voice to express not only softness and melancholy, but also strength and emotional depth. Her voice has been described as something that draws out a sense of human warmth, naturally pulling listeners into the world of her music and leaving a lasting impression. Her 2022 release Nakibana surpassed 1.5 million streams across platforms, with its music video reaching over 150,000 views on YouTube. In 2024, she signed with Universal Music and released Night Bus and Tsubaki, produced by GeG Hentai Shinshi Club. In 2025, UKI became an independent artist and began focusing more on live performances with her support band. She appeared at the outdoor festival Peaceful Beach in Minamichita, sharing the stage with artists such as Rickie-G and Spinna B-ILL. Her song Tsubaki, inspired by her feelings toward her grandfather, resonated for its emotional honesty. Another song, Night Bus, written with her parents in mind, was selected as the entrance theme for Japanese national softball player Sakura Miwa. Currently, alongside her band performances, UKI also shares her lifestyle and fashion through social media. At the heart of everything she creates is a quiet wish To become a place someone can return to - someone whose name or face she may never even know. That feeling is the root of who UKI is as an artist.
