12月リリース予定のアルバム「continue?」よりシングルカット。
コロナショック以降の世界の状況、SF、現代思想、バーチャルリアリティ等の文脈を踏まえ、「現実と非現実の狭間で踊る身体」をテーマに制作された。
James BlakeやFKA Twigsらをはじめとするポストダブステップのサウンドとシューゲイザー、インダストリアルなどの要素がミックスされ、エクスペリメンタルなサウンドとポップなメロディがクラブミュージック的な音響空間で展開される。Albemの新機軸を打ち出すアイコニックな作品。
アーティスト情報
Albem
nozakimugai (vo, sound engineer)、宮﨑脩平(gt, sampler)、佐藤友紀 (ba, synth)、古沢成(drum, programming)からなる音楽コレクティブ。現代思想、ネットミーム、SFなどの文脈を横断し、コンセプチュアルな電子音楽の制作を行なっている。個々のメンバーについても映画劇伴の制作やヒップホップクルーへの参加、音楽実装のアーキテクチャの研究、ソフトウェアエンジニアリング、労働など越境的な活動を展開している。 直近では2022年9月にリリースしたシングル「Waters」のVaporwave、ヒップホップ、映画音楽、シューゲイザー等の要素を撹拌した分裂的な音楽性が話題を呼んでいる。 2023年12月にアルバム「continue?」をリリース予定。コロナショック以降の社会のムードを分析し、「空虚に踊る身体」というテーマで制作を行っている。
