自然派シティポップをコンセプトにするスリーピースバンドKOMONO LAKEが、3人体制での初EP『Justified』をリリース。収録曲は昨年リリースしたシングル『Tsukanoma』、『Mezame』、『Century』、『Justified』のほか、新曲『帰り道』と『Honmono』。シティ・ポップ、昭和歌謡やSoul/R&Bに影響された音楽性に、2021年7月に加入したKurojiのグルーヴィーなベースが加わることでバンドの新たなチャプターを描き続けてきた。本作は新体制となったバンドのすべてを詰め込んだ集大成となった。EPと同時期に公開される『帰り道』のMVも見逃せない。

  • KOMONO LAKE

    KOMONO LAKE is a three-piece music project based in Tokyo, blending the sounds of City Pop, Showa-era pop songs, and Soul/R&B. Formed in 2021, the group features the versatile singer and illustrator Kanbin, London-born producer SKYTOPIA (known as a former member of Kero Kero Bonito), and bassist Kuroji, who is also active as a session bassist for artists such as Night Tempo. Since coming together, they've released three EPs and a full album, captivating audiences with their unique sound.In 2022, KOMONO LAKE hosted a program for a month on FM Yokohama and dropped a single, "Easy," in collaboration with singer gb. The following year, they successfully toured Taiwan and were spotlighted in TuneCore Japan's "WHO AM I?" campaign, as well as Spotify's "RADAR: Early Noise" playlist. As summer 2024 unfolds, KOMONO LAKE has been hailed as an artist to watch on Fuji TV's "Tune," continuing to enchant listeners with their memorable melodies and soothing vocals.
