They told us keep our voices down
Stand in line and play the part
Smile like everything is fine
While they're tearing us apart
Every rule they carved in stone
Every truth they made us learn
We were never born to follow
We were only born to burn
Lock the door
Kill the light
Tell us we don't belong
Turn it up
One more time
We'll prove you fucking wrong
Break the silence
Let the whole damn world hear us now
Break the silence
We won't ever bow our heads down
Raise your voice
Raise it higher
Let it cut across the night
Break the silence
We were born to make some noise tonight
We've got scars beneath our colors
We've got dirt beneath our nails
Every time they tried to stop us
We came back and broke the rails
No salvation
No permission
No one telling us what's right
If tomorrow never finds us
We'll be louder here tonight
Lock the door
Kill the light
Tell us we don't belong
Turn it up
One more time
We'll prove you fucking wrong
Break the silence
Let the whole damn world hear us now
Break the silence
We won't ever bow our heads down
Raise your voice
Raise it higher
Let it cut across the night
Break the silence
We were born to make some noise tonight
Can you hear it?
From the basement
From the street
From every heart that missed a beat
From the wreckage
From the doubt
If you've got something left—
LET IT OUT!
NO MORE SILENCE!
NO MORE FEAR!
NO MORE WAITING
FOR OUR TIME TO DISAPPEAR!
BREAK THE SILENCE!
LET THE WHOLE DAMN WORLD HEAR US NOW!
BREAK THE SILENCE!
WE'RE STILL STANDING
WE'RE STILL LOUD!
Raise your voice
Raise it higher
Let it tear apart the night
BREAK THE SILENCE!
WE WERE BORN TO MAKE SOME NOISE TONIGHT!

KNOX CLASSICS: Sacred Noise
A classical arrangement album by KNOX, an AI virtual rock band.
Bach. Vivaldi. Wagner. Dvorak. Mussorgsky. Verdi. Massenet. Beethoven. Eight themes left behind by eight composers across three centuries, translated into the language of a five-piece rock band. Every source work is in the public domain. Every lyric is original.
It started with a single note the pipe organ breaking the silence. When Bach's toccata was moved onto a distorted guitar, it became clear this could work. What followed was the summer storm, the ride across the battlefield, the demons on bald mountain, the wrath of judgment day, the stillness of meditation. Scenes the originals already carried, rebuilt over drums and overdrive.
This is not classical music quoted. Only the themes were taken; everything else was filled back in with the sound of a band. Counterpoint became riffs. Orchestral mass became layers of guitar. A chorus of hundreds became a single voice. Something was lost. Something else was gained.
The album closes with Beethoven's Ninth the ode to joy. The silence broken in the first track arrives here, eight songs later. After the storm. After the road. After the judgment.
