YOU'LL MELT MORE

Artist Profile

  • YOU'LL MELT MORE

A hero who sings to save humanity through music. Former freelance music writer Taichi Take, moved by the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake, resolved to save more people through the power of music. He formed the group in October 2012 with members scouted on the streets. Adopting the concept of loosening up a rigid world, they named themselves You'll Melt More!. You'll Melt More!'s You'll Melt also carries the meaning of loosening up in Japanese sound, creating a double meaning with Melt More. Their gentle lyrics, including messages like It's okay to run away when things get tough, offer comfort to those struggling with pain and hardship. Their sound, rooted in new wave and incorporating EDM, electro, krautrock, shoegazer, hardcore, punk rock, hip-hop, electro-clash, ambient, techno, indie pop, and more. They've released over 130 songs to date. Their album covers, paying a respectful homage to Neu!, ESG, Weezer, Gang of Four, DEVO, Kaoru Abe and Masayuki Takayanagi, SUICIDE, Belle and Sebastian, Prince, HAPPY MONDAYS, DRAGON BALL, Daft Punk, Kraftwerk, The Specials, Primal Scream, Talking Heads, and Sekiri, have also drawn attention.
