Ross Moody will release their new single "Easy Love and Difficult Love" on Friday, March 27.

The brother duo Ross Moody resumed activities in February 2026. Their first release after the comeback, "Losing Myself" was picked up by Spotify's official playlist "Monday Spin" and was featured by web media outlets such as indiegrab and Spincoaster, drawing significant attention.

Marking their third single in two months, the new track blends sped-up drums and melancholic keyboards with Kobamuta's unadorned vocals, resulting in a Ross Moody-style dance R&B number infused with elements of UK garage. Within Keita Kobayashi's tactile yet minimal soundscape, Kobamuta sings as if narrating a story. The song evokes the feeling of gently reaching out to our busy, fast-moving everyday lives. Listeners can also enjoy Kobamuta's playful rap, which even includes a name-drop of the band back number.

"Easy Love and Difficult Love" was co-written by Kobamuta and Keita Kobayashi, with lyrics written by Kobamuta. Kobamuta created the original track and composed the song, after which Keita Kobayashi further developed it into its final form. The recording took place in Kobamuta's bedroom, while Keita Kobayashi handled mixing and mastering.

Regarding the lyrics, Kobamuta commented:
"I portrayed a self-conscious teenage boy who falls in love with a cute girl. His feelings grow bigger and bigger inside his head, while in reality, nothing actually happens."

Artist Profile

  • Ross Moody

A sibling band consisting of singer Kobamuta and track maker Keita Kobayashi. They released their debut album What Murdered Me in 2019, followed by the mixtape Without Schools: The Mixtape in 2020 and the album A Farewell to Nostalgia in 2022. Their work gained attention for Kobamuta's distinctive vocals and poetic, playful rap style, combined with Keita Kobayashi's experimental production built on intricate sampling and collage techniques. In 2023, the project expanded its lineup and released the EP Love Spread, marking a shift toward a more musical sound centered on vocals and live instrumentation. After subsequent lineup changes, the band has continued to develop a unique sonic identity shaped by the brothers' shared sensibility - crafting intimate, warm tracks paired with engaging vocals.
